Happy Birthday!

Went for jazz dance alone the last sat.. cos clara was simply too tired to go for dance after one night of cycling and hh went for arts open. apparently many other ppl happened to have something on too cos nearly half of the ppl didn't turn up that day! haha.. it was the first time that the dance studio was so spacious and we had quite alot of space to dance. the steps are like super fast.. it's almost impossible to dance all the steps to the beat for beginners like me. despite all that, it was really fun.

evening was dinner at Jumbo seafood restaurant. Pre-celebration of my aunt's b'day. My uncle is like the "vip" there.. cos he always go there for almost every occasion. it's really nice to have this kind of gathering once a while.. can get to see and catch up with relatives which we seldom get to meet.. (n even distant distant relatives whom i never see before too). the food's pretty good but after 6, 7 dishes of seafood, i really dun feel like eatin anymore the moment i see the crab. clara was sayin, "got seafood to eat still complain!".. but it's really a bit overload.. so can't really blame me.. haha

"Birthday kiss" for my aunt!

It was Wendy's b'day too! she invited us (n many of her other friends) to Plush.. think she got some free entrance into it cos it was her b'day. i managed to get clara to join us too.. think the toilet is one of the most glamorous one which i've ever seen..
super glam sofa like this:

and... a golden glitterish toilet bowl seat!

oh my gosh lar.. haha.. wat a glam toilet rite? was so amazed by the toilet bowl.. but it's a toilet with a nice atmosphere though.

okok.. shall not let the toilet bowl steal the limelight from the birthday girl - wendy who had her face painted!

the music was a disappointment that nite.. but it's the company that matters.. Happy Birthday Wendy! :)

Busy period of Uni * No sports day

I guess this should be the "peak period" of Uni life.. where all the projects will be due like soon..
can foresee a day of last min chiong-ing of NM2219 proj tml (which is due on thurs!).. Liqi even suggeted that we stayover in school! haha.. tt's how last min we are.. anyway, might be more productive in a way too.. at least we won't take our own sweet time and will be more task-focused (forced to be though).

Admist the busy schedule, really felt like exercising today.. However, due to everyone's busy schedule as well, nobody's free today! haha.. guess we'll need to change our (supposedly) "sports day" to another day instead of tues.. hmm.. (i'm sure harrison will agree rite?) haha..

PS: To the person who claims that it's a waste of space to bookmark my blog add.. bish! (i shall not mention name.. you should know who you are! haha). I do update k.. just not VERY often only.. haha..

eventful saturday

Saturday- Dance as usual! It was great despite not having so much of choreo today. I really love the song (Breakin dishes by Rihanna) as it is really nice to dance to. The tempo is quite fast and i actually perspired quite a lot at the end of the lesson (partly cos of the crazy weather too). Will miss lesson next sat due to public holiday. But it's ok, can practise more meanwhile.

Was supposed to visit the salon today to have our hair cut, but decided to postpone it to some weekday next week. Apparently there's a salon at Funan which charges unbelieavably cheap for the student rate (according to Harrison). shall find out whether is it true next week then.

Met clara and evon in the evening to shop for huimin's b'day present. Clara suggested we get her Havaianas slippers (as it is nice and there's a NUS student's 20% off). wonder how huimin will react if she finds out. haha. anyway, we still managed to pick out a nice pair for her (our options were quite limited thanks to clara, who insisted on choosing from a certain price range!).

Cal and Byr went to watch JBJ too. Seriously, the play was really too chim for ppl like us (who don't have a lot of political knowledge) to comprehend. so i'm sure i'm not the only one who don't understand. haha. I drove today! Some carpark at sentosa. It was really not as difficult as i thought. Probably cos it's auto. Thanks to Byrant for entrusting his car to me. haha. think calvin can drive better than me though. And the car is still safe and sound. phew.

PSLE stress!

Really stressed out during this PSLE season. Not as a student, but as tutor (of cos). I had been tutoring my cousin for the past 1 yr. However, these 2 weeks have been massive, intense, last min teachings, with 3 times per week. Really glad to see some SLIGHT improvements in her maths.

What's happier for me was to see my youngest sister finally willing to study again. After all the procastination and skipping school etc for the past 1 yr, she has finally realised the importance of study. Although it might be at a great disadvantage for her due to all the time lost, at least it's good that she gave it a try and worked hard during the final lapse before PSLE. It might not be too late for her as she's still young and PSLE is just another passing phase. What i can do to show my support will be to try my best to teach and clear those common mistakes as much as possible on the day before the paper (it's kind of last min i know but i really hope that i did help her to some degree).

I guessed these 2 weeks are the BUSY and MUGGING periods, not only for the PSLE kids, but many of the uni students are mugging for the various midterms and assignments as well. Remembered that my friend once mentioned that students are actually paying for the stress, whereas he was PAID for the stress at work. Which one sounds more tempting? But we are actually paying for the stress now so that we will be paid for the stress in future. Seems like we got nothing to lose? For those who are happy-go-lucky and have a good way to prevent stress from getting them might actually gain more then?

anyways, all the best to my sister and cousin! really hope they can meet their own expectations for this PSLE.
